Attendance Policy

Below, you will find the school's attendance policy.  In this document, you will find details related to the school's views on attendance as well as details on the processes carried out to ensure all pupils attend school regularly.  If you have any questions about attendance, please contact the school office on 0121 464 4635 and make an appointment with Mr Worthington or Mrs Brookes.

Current Attendance

As of 17th February 2016, the school's current attendance is 95.07%.  Below is an overview for the attendance figures for each year group.  Remember, 100% attendance in a week = a reward cake.



Is my child well enough to be at school?

The guidance below has been taken from the Health protection Agency to support parents in identifying when pupils will need to be absent from school. 

Yes.  Your child should attend school with the following illnesses / complaints.

No.  Your child can not attend school with the following illnesses / complaints.

Protecting Pregnant Females:

In order to protect pregnant females (staff and visitors), school must be notified if your child has any of the following illnesses:

  • Slapped cheek
  • Chicken pox
  • Measles
  • German Measles



After checking, I know that my child isn't well enough to be at school.
