All schools are required to provision for personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE), drawing on good practice to support delivery in school.

At Kings Rise, teachers use Discovery RE to support their teaching within this subject.

These units of work are enquiry based modules, which are designed to focus on specific world faiths including Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.  Christianity is focused on in every year group.  Festivals, such as Easter and Christmas are revisited each year, although teaching material is progressive, which extends pupil's knowledge and understanding.

Teachers draw on the objectives identified within the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning documentation  as well as objectives identified on Gridmaker to develop skills within this curriculum area.  Objectives are met through discrete PSHE focused activities as well as within the wider curriculum.
